River Constellation gathers water, wind, birdsong, and the ambient life of the park into a continuous two-hour composition that changes with the seasons and time of day.
A landmark and listening post.
The installation draws visitors into a closer relationship with the landscape. At dusk, integrated light creates a constellation effect that echoes the river below, shaping an experience that is communal, individual, meditative, and peaceful.
Scope
Jamie collaborated with artist and composer Beau Kenyon on River Constellation for Des Moines Water Works Park, leading the lighting and audio system design and specifications, project management, and installation.
